Storm damage

Hail and wind damage is what we do best

Storm work is our specialty. We inspect the roof, document what the storm did, and work with your insurance company to get it paid for.

Free storm inspection — no cost, no obligation, photos of everything we find.

How it works

Three steps, and we handle the roof side of all of them

Most homeowners have never filed a roof claim before. Here is the whole sequence, start to finish.

We inspect the roof

A full walk of the roof looking specifically for storm damage — bruised or fractured shingles, granule loss, creased or lifted tabs, damage to vents, flashing and soft metals. You get the photos whether you file or not.

We document what we find

Every area of damage is photographed and written up, so what goes to your insurer is a clear record of the roof’s actual condition rather than a verbal description.

We work with your insurer

We work with your homeowner’s insurance company through the roofing side of the claim so the work gets approved and paid for, and then we do the job.

What we look for

Hail and wind leave very different marks

Both shorten the life of a roof, and neither one is reliably visible from the ground.

Hail damage

Hail knocks the protective granules off the shingle and bruises the mat underneath. The roof can look fine from the driveway while the surface that actually sheds water is already gone.

Often invisible from the ground

Wind damage

Wind lifts and creases shingles, breaks the sealant strip that holds each course down, and tears tabs off entirely. A creased shingle has already failed even when it falls back into place.

Gets worse with the next storm

Everything else up there

Vents, ridge caps, flashing, gutters and downspouts take the same hit as the shingles. We check all of it, because a claim that covers only the field of the roof leaves the leaks behind.

When it is worth getting the roof looked at

You do not need visible damage to have a claim, and you do not need to guess. If any of these apply, the inspection is free either way.

  • Hail came through your areaEven small hail can strip granules. Neighbours getting new roofs is a reliable sign.
  • High winds or a named stormWind does not need to remove a shingle to break the seal holding it down.
  • Granules in the gutters or at the downspoutsSandy grit collecting at the base of a downspout is shingle surface that is no longer on the roof.
  • Shingle pieces or debris in the yardIf tabs came off yours or a neighbour’s roof, the storm was strong enough to matter.
  • A new stain on a ceiling or in the atticWater is already getting in, and that rarely stays a small problem.

Why homeowners call us for this

Storm work is not a sideline for us

It is the largest part of what we do, and it is the reason most of our customers found us.

  • We know what a claim needs to see

An inspection that misses damage is worth nothing. We go over the whole roof and document it properly the first time.

  • You keep the evidence

The photos and the write-up are yours, whether you file a claim, wait, or decide to do nothing at all.

  • GAF Certified Plus installers

The replacement is done by a factory-certified contractor, so the new roof carries the manufacturer warranty it should.

  • Local, and here afterwards

We are based in Roswell. We are not a crew that follows hail across state lines and leaves when the season ends.

Storm claims

Questions we get asked most

No. The storm inspection is free and there is no obligation. You get the photos and our findings either way.

That is between you and your insurer, and it depends on your policy and your carrier — we cannot answer it for you. Ask your agent before you file. What we can do is tell you whether there is real storm damage up there, so you are deciding with facts instead of guessing.

Policies set their own deadlines, and they vary. Do not sit on it — damage that goes unreported for a long time gets harder to attribute to a specific storm. Check your policy or call your agent.

Usually yes. Hail damage in particular is very hard to see from the ground; granule loss and bruising show up on the surface of the shingle, not in its shape. That is exactly the kind of damage that shortens a roof’s life quietly.

Both. We inspect, and we do the work — repair or full replacement, depending on what the roof needs.

Then we tell you that. You keep the report, and if the roof needs something else we will say so without turning it into a claim it is not.
